knowledge in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle
East and Latin America.

Awards, an independent national voice for all

The Training Contract
As the graduate intake is relatively small, the firm
gives Trainees individual attention, coaching and
monitoring. Your structured and challenging
programme involves four six month seats in
areas of the firm covering contentious and noncontentious
areas, across any department within
the firm's practice groups. These seats include
'on the job' training and you will share an office
with a Partner or Senior Associate. In-house
lectures complement your training and there is
continuous review of your career development.
You will also have the opportunity to spend six
months aboard in the Singapore or Hong Kong
Office and have free language tuition where
appropriate. As a Trainee at SH you will be given
your own caseload and as much responsibility
as you can shoulder.
